

LGMA QUEENSLAND COMPASS SERIES (PREVIOUSLY BRANCH CONFERENCES)
Every year, each of LGMA's regional branches holds an event which is the perfect opportunity LGMA Members and Non Members to get together and obtain updates on Local Government issues and accomplishments and to hear from experts on topics relevant to the local government industry and region.
It is also a great opportunity to network with your colleagues within local government at the various social events that complement the conference agenda.
Branch Compass Series Dates
Our Branch Conferences are now known as Compass Series events. The Branch Compass Series events will be held over the follow dates and locations.
5 - 6 March 2012 South East Queensland Compass Series Redland
The 2012 South East Queensland Compass Series themed, A Week is a Long Time in Politics, will be held at the Redland Performing Arts Centre on 5-6 March 2012. The programme and registration form can be downloaded here.
Remember, this event is open to all members, not just those in the South East Queensland branch.
13 - 14 March 2012 Central Queensland Compass Series Birdsville
The 2012 Central Queensland Compass Series will be held in Birdsville from 13-14 March 2012. We are now calling for submissions from local government practitioners' who would like to nominate themselves as a prospective presenter at this conference and for suggestions towards suitable conference themes and topics.
Presenters should provide a 100 word abstract or synopsis no later than Friday 27 January 2012. For more information, contact Joanna on 07 3174 5005 or joanna@lgmaqld.org.au
3 - 4 May 2012 North Queensland Compass Series Townsville
The 2012 North Queensland Compass Series will be held in Townsville from 3-4 May 2012. More information on this event will be provided at a later date. Watch this space!
