In our research of local government councils, a lot of them have tourism development as part of their strategic corporate plans however they are not all able to afford consultants to help them achieve that. So, what can they do to attract tourists?

The Forum will be covering topics such as how to leverage local opportunities, business support and development, collaborating for success as well as hearing about some council success stories. An Indigenous Tourism Panel will also be a feature about how to stimulate tourism for your council relating to both domestic and international tourists, how to market your tourism products and specifically what councils can do in this space. We are excited to have the Department of Innovation and Tourism Industry Development speaking as well, discussing the legacy of the Commonwealth Games in Queensland.

Who should attend: Officers from local government who are working in tourism, venues and customer service sectors.

Complete the online registration form or download the manual registration form here.
