Tourism & Economic Development Village Exchange

This village exchange meeting is for local government employees working in the Tourism & Economic Development areas of Queensland councils. It is a place to get together, share information, get updates on the latest legislation and policies, and ultimately help each other improve our ways of working and serving our communities.

Agenda: 

• What Local Tourism Organisation models do Councils use and what well?
• What ideas and how is everyone celebrating World Tourism Day Sept 27th 2022?
• What reporting tool/statistics does everyone use with regards to Tourism in their Local Government Areas?
• What are regions doing differently to encourage visitors to their region now that borders are reopening and international travel open? 
• What are regions doing to overcome skilled workers and labour workforce shortages?
