LGMA INSPIRE CONFERENCE |
This inter-active, informative two-day workshop is ideal for council officers looking to further their career in local government. The event provides valuable networking opportunities with some of Queensland’s brightest talents. Inspire features council case studies, the ‘ever popular’ CEO panel discussion, think tanks, transformative workshops and much more.
INSPIRE 2020 CONFERENCE - IMPACT The Inspire 2020 Conference offers local government officers an opportunity to consider the impact they have on their communities, through their individual roles and as part of their wider council. As local government officers, what we do on a daily basis affects how people in our communities live their lives; how much time they spend in outdoor pursuits, what those pursuits are, what cultural activities they undertake, where they spend time with kids and family. It also impacts how they connect with neighbours and others in the community. To some extent, what local government does affects how people behave, their sense of community, their confidence and their wellbeing. It is a large responsibility but it is rewarding when you see the impacts of your success. Inspire 2020 will examine different aspects of local government impact and the ways we shape that. Be it through physical design of the community, through the services and support provided or in the way we inform and educate. It will also discuss the potential flow-on impacts as interconnected and interdependent communities experience effects of actions taken in both neighbouring and more distant areas. |

Quote from a past attendee... "...I
will be acting CEO and looking forward to the challenges and
opportunities that come from being a CEO. Without the support of LGMA
and being in attendance at the Forum, this would not have
been possible. The Programme gave me the tools to
believe in myself and strive for continual improvement for the
organisation that I work for. Thank you and your team for the ongoing
support." |
