The Australasian Management Challenge will be held in Brisbane on 30 April and 1 May. It is good fun, great value and takes a hands-on approach to leadership development that translates into relevant, tangible and enduring benefits for people, teams and organisations.
Everyone who participates in the Challenge – from experienced managers to emerging leaders, comes away with new and practical insights into excellence in leadership and management.

2018 Australasian Management Challenge Queensland Regional Final
The 2018 Australasian Management Challenge Queensland Regional event was held in Brisbane on 14 and 15 March 2018. Day one saw council teams from Brisbane, Southern Downs, Redlands and Toowoomba compete; with teams from Brisbane, Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Whitsunday, Cairns and Western Downs competing on day two. It was two days of team building, solution finding, making new friends, stressing a little and overall stretching out of comfort zones and having some fun!
The winner of the Queensland Regional Final was announced at LGMA's Awards for Excellence on 19 April 2018.

What is the Australasian Management Challenge?
The Australasian Management Challenge is an innovative development opportunity that is a convergence of ideas, energy, academic rigour and practical application – the elements which develop great leadership.
This programme is the premier forum for current and emerging local government leaders. It is a sophisticated development programme designed to deliver personal, team and organisational professional development.
The challenge has been running across Australia and New Zealand for more than 20 years. It is good fun, great value and a hands-on approach to leadership development that translates into relevant, tangible and enduring benefits for people, teams and organisations.
Everyone who participates in the Challenge – from experienced managers to emerging leaders, comes away with new and practical insights into excellence in leadership and management.Teams from across Australia and New Zealand compete during a week in March each year. In Queensland, teams from across the state come together in Brisbane for a day of laughs, challenges and learnings.
