From 2019, the Manager of the Year Award will be awarded at the awards for Excellence.

LGMA Queensland, in cooperation with the Society of Local Government Managers New Zealand, the League of Californian Cities (United States) and the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (Canada), offers the opportunity for local government managers to travel to the US, Canada or New Zealand to study local government practice.  Successful nominees will attend the annual conference in that location and will be hosted by a manager from that jurisdiction.  Queensland participants will then host the manager in return when they come to Australia to attend the Queensland state conference.

The 2018/2019 International Manager Exchange nominations have now closed.
You will find more information available here.
