The Manager of the Year Award will be awarded at the Awards for Excellence.
LGMA Queensland, in cooperation with the Society of Local Government
Managers New Zealand, the League of Californian Cities (United States)
and the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (Canada),
offers the opportunity for local government managers to travel to the
US, Canada or New Zealand to study local government practice.
Successful nominees will attend the annual conference in that location
and will be hosted by a manager from that jurisdiction. Queensland
participants will then host the manager in return when they come to
Australia to attend the Queensland state conference.
As part of LGMA Queensland’s commitment to recognise outstanding leadership and management excellence in local government, the Manager of the Year Award for Leadership and Management Excellence is awarded annually. The Award is open to senior managers who are employed by a Queensland local government and have been for a minimum of 12 months. Nominations will open on in 2019. The Manager of the Year will be awarded at the LGMA Queensland Annual Conference.
