A Retired Member is any current individual member who is no longer employed or working in a paid capacity but has worked in local government and has formally applied in writing to the Chief Executive Officer to have their membership status changed from an ordinary member to a retired member.
Retired members find that in retaining their membership after they have retired allows them to keep abreast of the local government sector changes, the sector that they have contributed so much to in their career.
LGMA Retired members enjoy the networking opportunities that are still available after their career has finished.
