Environment and Sustainability Village Exchange
This Village aims to support local government officers working in environment, sustainability, climate, conservation and natural resource management functions within Queensland councils.
The Village provides a forum to share information, discuss emerging environmental challenges and practical solutions, and receive updates on legislation, policy, funding, technology and best practice relevant to local government. Areas of interest include environmental sustainability and resilience, conservation, biodiversity, natural environment, land for wildlife, circular economy, sustainable resource planning, climate change, net zero emissions and regenerative tourism.
Relevant roles may include Sustainability Officers and Managers, Environmental Officers, Climate Change and Resilience Officers, Biodiversity Officers, Conservation Officers, Natural Resource Management Officers, Circular Economy Officers, Waste and Resource Recovery Officers and officers responsible for environmental planning and sustainability initiatives.
