Village events: exchanges, forums, webinars
The Village Events were created to provide local government professionals working in similar fields with the opportunity to come together to network and share experiences. These events are a fantastic opportunity to learn from each other, network, discuss best practice and talk about changes and the latest developments.
Come along to the next Village Event, relevant to your area of work, and join a professional network of people who understand the opportunities and challenges that you face in your daily work.
The Village Exchanges are informal 'chat' sessions via Zoom to enable council officers to connect with their counterparts at other councils to share, learn, chat and engage. These complimentary Exchanges are included in the Council Subscriber Packages offered annually (October to September) by LGMA Queensland. We look forward to connecting with you on Zoom.
The Village Forums are typically face-to-face one day events generally from 08.30-16.30. They are fee based - approximately $250.00 per person and include a range of case studies, project updates, workshops relating to current industry topics and guest speakers from within local government and externally. Forums may be held at various Queensland locations.
The Village Webinars (online via Zoom) are approximately 90 minute sessions featuring a guest presenter with Q&A time. The webinars are fee based - approximately $110.00 per person.
The proposed dates for 2021 are available here. Times and online registrations will be available shortly.
