    Governance Forum (Brisbane)

Please join us to discover the latest local government governance trends and information, where we bring together experts, professionals and governance professionals for insightful discussions and networking opportunities.  Some of those we will be hearing from include the Department on legislation amendments, the Crime and Corruption Commission (dealing with and navigating corruption), and Preston Law will share their advice on Human Rights in Decision Making and recent legal matters and emerging governance best practice trends.

Council Showcases:  we also have two council show cases covering redesigning the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and implementing an innovative Policy Hub which transforms the way the organisation interacts with policies and procedures (with the help of AI).

This forum serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, discussions and collaborative solutions that shape the future of governance in local government.

    Key objectives include:

    • Exploring emerging trends and challenges in governance
    • Sharing best practice
    • Supporting dialogue and networking among attendees
