As part of LGMA Queensland’s commitment to recognise outstanding leadership and management excellence in local government, the Manager of the Year Award for Leadership and Management Excellence is awarded annually. The Award acknowledges and encourages leadership and management excellence and is presented to a senior local government employee who has made an outstanding contribution to the positive growth of their council and community. The Manager of the Year Award is open to senior managers who are employed by a Queensland local government and have been a member of LGMA for a minimum of 12 months. 2022 Manager of the Year Nomination details are available here. The 2022 Manager of the Year will be awarded at the Annual LG Conference Dinner in Gladstone - 6-8 September 2022. THE 2019 AWARD WAS PRESENTED TO PAULINE GORDON OF GYMPIE REGIONAL COUNCIL.
Noal Atkinson from CQ University presented Pauline Gordon with the LGMA Queensland Manager of the Year Award at the Local Government Conference Dinner at The Ville Resort Casino in Townsville on September 12. Pauline was recognised for ‘an outstanding contribution to growth in the economic and social prosperity of the Gympie region and her genuine passion for the community’.
