YOUNG MANAGER OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE
As part of LGMA Queensland’s commitment to developing the next generation of leaders in local government, the Young Manager of the Year Award for Leadership and Management Excellence is awarded annually. The Award acknowledges and encourages leadership and management excellence and is presented to a young local government employee who has made an outstanding contribution to the positive growth of their council and community.
The Award is open to Managers aged 35 years or younger, who are employed by a Queensland local government and are an LGMA Queensland member (if not already an LGMA member now, you may join to be eligible for Nomination).
2020 YOUNG MANAGER OF THE YEAR AWARD Winner:-
LGMA Queensland President Brett de Chastel and LGIAsuper's Andrea Peters co-hosted the announcement of the 2020 Young Manager of the Year at the LGMA Queensland Awards for Excellence Celebration on Thursday 27 August 2020.
Congratulations to Daniel Bradford of Cassowary Coast Regional Council. Daniel was recognised for his broad experience across finance, customer service, libraries and asset management allowing for innovation, consistency, clarity, improved service delivery and increased completion rates for capital works programmes.

2019 YOUNG MANAGER OF THE YEAR AWARD Winner:-
Patrick Day from MacDonnell’s Law presented a somewhat shocked and thrilled Teona Cousin of Mackay Regional Council with the 2019 LGMA Queensland's Young Manager of the Year Award at the LGMA Local Government Conference President’s Welcome at The Ville Resort Casino in Townsville, on 10 September.
Teona was recognised for her significant contribution, driving change and innovation in areas of Economic Development.
