Australia has joined the United States, Japan, NATO and other countries, in demanding China stop supporting malicious cyber attacks. The Chinese embassy says it rejects the allegations and accuses Australia of being hypocritical.

There has been a marked increase in incidences of cyber-attacks and data breaches across all sectors since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.  For local government this is a particularly important challenge to overcome, and our communities expect us to have a solid plan in place keep their public data safe.

But what happens in the event of a breach? What are the legal, commercial and insurance related ramifications? Which policies, procedures, and regulations come into play here? What are the key considerations when putting together a cyber security plan?

Join Alastair MacGibbon, former National Cyber Security Adviser, head of the Australian Cyber Security Centre and Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Cyber Security and his team of highly experienced cyber security specialists for a discussion about all these questions and more.
