Facilities and Venues Village
This Village aims to support local government officers who manage facilities and venues for Queensland councils.
Venue management in councils is varied and can range from sophisticated conference venues, to small community halls and everything in between. Different usage requirements challenge local government officers to develop policies and tools which maximise the benefit of the facility to the community. At the same time, contracting, work health and safety and other provisions all create barriers to access. This Village provides a forum for officers to get together, share information, receive updates on the latest legislation and policies and, ultimately help each other improve service to our communities.
